As a Volunteer English Teacher, you will make a significant impact on the lives of children, teenagers and young people living in underprivileged communities, supporting them develop the language skills they need to pursue their goals.
In addition to our expectations of all volunteers, we strongly prefer our Volunteer English Teachers to be native or truly bilingual speakers. A TEFL certificate or other relevant teaching qualification is also a big plus.
Teaching English in the favelas poses unique challenges, so you must be patient, reliable, flexible, loving and kind. Our kids deserve nothing less!
