Associação EduMais Brasil is a non-profit, non-partisan civil association created to support EduMais’s educational programs in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas. The Association serves the public interest and has no profit motive.

Purpose (Objectives)

The Association exists to promote access to quality education and life opportunities for children and teenagers from vulnerable communities in Rio de Janeiro.

Our objectives include:

• Support relevant, high-quality educational programs for underprivileged children and youth in vulnerable areas.
• Offer development opportunities that strengthen academic, social-emotional, and life skills.
• Promote projects that enable a dignified, independent future—helping young people build a full place in society.
• Raise awareness of the educational challenges faced by children and teens in vulnerable contexts.
• Foster partnerships with schools, NGOs, companies, and public bodies to advance these goals.

How we operate

Programs & Partnerships. We work with local partners (e.g., schools and community organizations) to deliver free programs such as English, entrepreneurship, technology, and life-skills training.

Fundraising & Visibility. We raise funds, build partnerships, and communicate our impact through our website, newsletters, and social media.

Volunteer Engagement. We recruit and train volunteers and mentors who contribute expertise and time to our programs.

Public Benefit. All activities are conducted without profit motive and exclusively for the public interest.

Remuneration Policy

Board and council positions are unpaid. Members may be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
